Daan Julius Koens

Daan Koens (Amsterdam, 1994) is a self-taught artist living and working in Rotterdam.

He showed an interest in drawing from a young age. During his brief stay at the Willem de Kooning Academy, he started making paintings and has never stopped since.

de heer Koen’s style cannot be described with a single term because the young artist paints in any style that pleases him at that moment, but all works are ultimately influenced by a traditional background.

In the future he hopes to create larger exhibitions with a coherent theme and perhaps to experiment with other methods such as making sculptures and bronze casting.
